How to Make a "Hand Shake" Pill Prank

Here is a prank that will surprise them every time. This bottle looks like a ordinary medication container but, when you twist the cap. The container begins to rattle and shake as if something is alive in it.
So, lets get started making one. The parts Your going to need:
1. a small or medium empty plastic (med) container with safety cap
2. a 1.5 dc (tiny) motor which you can find online/or electric battery toothbrush
3. disposable camera
4. 2 small pieces of wire (longer than your medicine container)
5. Paper clip
6. superglue
7. soldering iron and solder
8. 1 AAA battery holder
9. Dremel tool
10. Extra plastic container

Open your disposable camera, inside you'll find the film dial and a small simple switch made

with 2 copper poles. Use your demel tool carefully cut out the switch from the circuit board.

Cut away any obstacles from both Sides of the switch that was holding the switch on the

circuit board. The sides need to be flat as possible for mounting purposes.

The film dial from your diposable camera will have a raised area on one side or both.
Use your dremel tool carve out a section (on one side) of this raised area for your simple
switch, make frequent checks so that your switch fits snugly into your carved area.

Your going to need to solder 2 wires to your switch so perform a continuity test to
see what poles are connected to soldering points. This modified switch will be the heart of
the project. It's the triggering device when the cap is turned. So make sure your connections
are correct.

After soldering your 2 wires to your switch. Drill a hole in your film dial and feed both

wires into this hole.

At this point Your switch assembly should look pretty much like the figure below. Use

this guide to position your switch.

Your simple switch contains 2 poles, in the mounted position use your dremel tool to cut

the top pole as shown in the figure below

When you have your switch positioned in place, superglue it for stability.

Next, take your paper clip and straighten it out, cut in half and bend into 2 "l" shaped
figures.

Next, turn your dial with your mounted switch upside down and drill 2 holes on the left and
right side of the switch. Make sure your holes are not loose. You can use the tip of your
heated soldering iron and place it near the end of your modified papercilp which has contact
with the plastic. When the clip begins to sink through the plastic remove the soldering iron. Let
it cool, and then pull it through. This technique will assure a fitted hole size for your clips.

Take the cap from the med container and separate the two. I used a pair of small pliers
to lift one side up, screw it back into the container and pull the safety cap, from the
bottom cap this usually does the trick.

Screw on your regular cap on your container. Where the cap ends will be your drilling

point for you switch. Drill a  hole that will comfortably house the longer pole of your

switch, do not drill below the stopping point of your regular cap.

Next, drill a hole in the bottom of your med container for your battery pack and motor.

Leave a margin surrounding your hole. I drew a circle with a marker and used the tip of

my soldering iron to melt  the opening and later cleaned up the opening with my dremel tool

sanding tool.

Place your wires and modified switch inside the med container while positioning the

longer copper pole inside the predrilled hole. Make sure that the pole is centered and

not obstructed by hitting either side of your pre drilled hole. This switch must be able

to move up and down freely.

When you have your switch positioned inside your med container, slightly push in your

paper clips and turn them outward so they are hugging the inside walls of your med

container as shown in the illustrations below.

While holding your paper clips in place and making sure that your cooper pole is inside

the predrilled hole (not touching the sides of the hole) bend over your paper clips over

the edge of your med container. Use a wire cutter to cut the extra. Snip them close t the

edge so that they don't interfere with the turning of the cap. Use your dremel tool to

slightly blend in the surface. Another blending method is using the tip of your

soldering iron  touch the paper clips at the top until they begin to sink into the

plastic, then stop. This blends in the clips with the edge of the container. Repeat this

process to the other side.

You may need to adjust the copper poles for proper operation. Your modified switch is normally closed

with the cap off. This means that it should work  with the cap off. If it doesn't use a small "j" shaped wire to

adjust the copper poles. By pulling the bottom pole upward and pushing the top pole downward in position.

When the motor starts to rattles you have them adjusted.

Twist on your regular cap as a guide to cut the longer pole even with edge

your regular cap (not the security cap). And solder just the tip of the pole this

prevents snagging of pole due to rough surfaces as it passes along the surface of

edge of the regular cap.

Snap both caps together regular and safety.  Next, pull both wires through the bottom of your med

container. Now you should have 2 wires extended through the bottom of your container. Solder one to the

(negative)side AAA battery holder terminal, and the other one to your 1.5dc motor. Lastly connect the other

wire from the motor to the (positive) side of the AAA battery holder. Now carefully place everything inside of

the container.

Trace and cut a circle (slightly smaller than the bottom of your (med) container) from a piece of plastic from a

discarded Lysol or plastic container. Make cut patterns  to interlace with the opening at the bottom of your

med container. This will give your container a natural manufactured look to trick your victim's into believing

its the real thing, as shown on the right.

To really make your prank exciting use your marker and write something catchy on the side of
medicine container to create curosity or just place it in the bathroom cabinet and wait for
your victims. Since the cap is actually a switch there is no battery power used until
someone twists the cap. So, waiting on your victim is no problem!!!
